In-House Salon Wall Step-by-step

In-House is a design service offered by Arthouse3. You send images of artwork you would like to have arranged on your wall and Arthouse3 will use your images to create a suggested arrangement as a guide for installation. You send images - I send arrangement - you install. It’s two parts DIY, one part AH3. Step by step process below.

You will need: chosen artwork ready to hang; a camera; a measuring tape; paper, pencil

Step 1 - Lay out all the pieces of artwork you are wanting to install - in any order - and snap a picture of them all together. It can be a birds eye view or if easier to take two images - however I can see them as a clump just to know what I’m working with.

Step 2 - Take an individual photograph of each piece of artwork - straight on - that shows the entire frame and area around that particular piece. 

Step 3 - Jot down the dimensions for each piece and send email or take a picture of those notes so I will know scale of the pieces in relation to each other.  

Step 4 - Take an image of the chosen wall from across the room so that all the elements in the room, and around that wall, can be seen (furniture, rugs, drapes, lamps, windows, ceiling, floor, etc); can be more than one image just as long as the whole room or area can be seen. Everything is relevant and everything influences everything else.

Step 5 - Take a straight-on image of the chosen wall from as far away as you can, showing floor and ceiling - as much as can be included - so that I will have a straight-on image in which to create the installation mock-up for you to follow. Images don’t have to be stellar but do need to clearly show the designated area.

Step 6 - Send all of those images to me and wait to be sure I can open and see all of them before we proceed.

Step 7 - If all is a go, send $80 to me through Venmo (https://venmo.com) @Katherine-Gibson-30 shows my picture) or different agreed payment.

Step 8 - Once Venmo/payment is received, I will create an arrangement of all the chosen pieces on your chosen wall and will send you, within 48 hours, an image of a mocked-up option for you to implement based on arrangement and scale - a visual guide.

Step 9 - Your DIY installation! Once you have installed the pieces, take an image and send to me for my “In House” posts. You of course can tweak the design however it suits you and/or your space - the whole idea is that you get art up on the wall to enjoy!
